The McGee’s Crossroads Middle FFA Chapter was recognized at the East Central Regional Rally on April 15th at Johnston Community College. Members previously competed in the 2010 FFA Middle Grades Career Development Events on Friday, March 12th. Cody Stevens, Cody Lanphere, Kali Higgins, and Tommy Howard, placed first in the state and first in the East Central Region in the Exploring Biotechnology Career Development Event. Tommy Howard was the Top Scorer for the event. Kali Higgins earned the second highest score. Jesse Petit, Joe Langdon, Sam Brown, Matthew Cherry, Ben Ormond, Taylor Davis, and Blake Eason placed third in the state and first in the East Central Region in the Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event. Christopher Edwards, Christopher Carey, Regina Monaco, and Taylor Kelly placed fourth in the state and second in the East Central Region in the Exploring Biotechnology Quiz Bowl event. McGee’s Crossroads Middle is currently the only middle school in Johnston County with a FFA Chapter.
